Symbols in HTML

Web developers can paste the symbol directly into a UTF-8 page, or use the HTML code shown for each symbol, such as ✓ for ✓ or ° for °.

Symbols that look broken

If a symbol shows as an empty box (□), the font on that device doesn’t include it. Common symbols such as ✓ ★ ♥ → ° € work everywhere; rarer ones may not show on older phones.
